The following are a few samples of the terms defined in the Glossary:

Antioxidants... are substances that appear to inhibit tissue damage related to free radicals (see Free Radicals). Antioxidants come in several forms: vitamin C (ascorbic acid and fruits & vegetables), pure vitamin E, Beta Carotene, Selenium, various amino acids, and most nuts & grains.
 
Fiber... the indigestible portion of plants, fruits and vegetables. Fiber binds to toxins and carries them out of the body. Fiber promotes regular bowel movements as well.
 
Honey... is produced by hard working bees in much the same manner as the production of Bee Pollen. Honey is composed of 30-35% protein and contains at least half of all known amino acids. Honey is a dense compound of many nutrients that may provide an energy boost. It is a natural antiseptic.
 
Melanoma... is a malignant tumor originating at the pigment cells in the deep layers of the skin; potentially damaging to the middle dermis or subcutaneous (lower layer) tissues. These legions may become fatal is they are not detected and eradicated early. Melanoma is generally known as skin cancer.
 
Saturated Fats... are oils that are solid at room temperature: i.e., lard, butter, etc. These fats are mainly derived from animal products, with the exception of coconut oil and palm oil, which come from the plant kingdom.
